The Latino Film Fund would like to bring to your attention the 3rd annual Hola Mexico Film Festival in Los Angeles, taking place from Thursday May 19th to Wednesday May 25th .
TWELVE selected Mexican films will screen at the Montalban Theatre showcasing the great advancements in the Mexican film industry. The festival will not only include screenings and cater to “el gusto” of film but also delicious Mexican food and Tequila tastings as part of the many other surprises the festival boasts.
Samuel Douek Festival Director of the Hola Mexico Film Festival in Los Angeles says:
“Our festival is proud to be the Mexican film festival of Los Angeles, the beautiful city which vibrates with Mexican colors. Mexico has always been a country of contrasts, a land where the incredible happens every day. We have in Mexico the most gorgeous spaces, but many unresolved problems. Nowadays, MEXICO IS A PLACE LIKE THE MOVIES and we invite you to see it at the Hola Mexico Film Festival through its documentaries, comedies and grand dramas. The festival paints a reality seen through the eyes of our film directors.”
The Hola Mexico Film Festival has invited the film’s directors and actors to present their films and have Q & A’s after the screenings. The Festival has also given away 200 tickets to nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to supporting the Mexican community in Los Angeles. Samuel Douek explains that “…by working closely with these wonderful organizations, we hope to provide exposure to Mexican cinema to new audiences and enriching our community through film.”
The Latino Film Fund strongly encourages the LFF Community to attend this festival and support the production of Latino-themed films. Also, we want to hear from you: Let us know if you attended the festival via twitter or facebook.
